About Me

Hello! My name is Paige, and I am both your current and newly re-elected president for the Faculty of Health, Social care and Medicine. It has been incredible to get stuck into the role and it is such a privilege to have done so. I have come into the SU at such an exciting time, with the new SU being built right over from the office I cannot wait to see what is to come. I am a second year Student Nurse and have continued studying whilst in my presidency position, so when I say I'm right there with you throughout the student voice journey, I really am! Being a student nurse has really amplified my passion for advocacy, empowerment and has also made me a person who is more confident, innovative, critically thinking and compassionate. I am passionate about expanding my work in empowering us, as students to generate change that will positively impact not only our university experiences, but those students to come, too. I have ample experience, being a published author of two mental health advocacy books and the NHS student representative for NHS England, my passion and love for generating awareness and change is in everything I do – stemming from personal experience of feeling like I did not have a voice myself for a long time. I hope I look like a friendly face... I promise I am! Regardless of my presidency position, I am a down to earth, fun-loving, spontaneous and adventurous person. I love the outdoors, escaping to hot countries, cooking and trying new things. I am always around and happy to be a friendly face for whatever reason needed. Now, let’s start making the changes we want to see. We got this.
