Academic Societies

Did you know that your Students' Union (SU) is your go-to channel for voicing your opinions and concerns to both the university and outside organisations? It's even in our constitution! We’re here to represent you and ensure your voice is heard.

[Object 4.2 of Edge Hill Students’ Union’s constitution states that the SU is: “the recognised representative channel between Students and Edge Hill University and any other external bodies;”]

So, how do we make this happen? One of the key channels is through Student-Staff Consultation Forums (SSCFs), which are set up across the university. These forums are all about creating a space where you can discuss important academic topics with staff—your chance to share what matters most to you!

To make sure everyone’s voice is included, we have elected student Faculty Presidents from the SU who attend these SSCFs. They’re dedicated to representing the diverse interests of all students in their Faculty, so your thoughts and ideas can truly shine.

And don’t forget about our Academic Societies! They’re another fantastic way for you to get involved and help represent student perspectives on academic matters.

If you want to dive deeper into how we approach SSCF representation, check out the document linked below.
