We’re changing how manifestos are done this year, and have developed a short series of questions for you to answer to allow voters to gain some insight into who you are and what you stand for. This is your opportunity to tell Edge Hill students why they should vote for you in the form of answers to these questions.  All candidates will be asked the same 3 questions, in addition to a final, relevant, Faculty-specific question (4 in total).

Questions for all positions:

πŸ‘‰ Question 1

Ensuring that student feedback leads to tangible improvements is an important part of being an Elected Officer. How would you ensure that students feel heard and represented during your time in office? (150 word limit)

πŸ‘‰ Question 2

Given the current financial pressures on both students and higher education institutions, how would you advocate for maintaining and enhancing student support services at Edge Hill University to ensure they are effective and accessible? (150 word limit)

πŸ‘‰ Question 3

Considering the ongoing concerns about student wellbeing, how would you work to address mental health challenges and promote a supportive on-campus and off-campus culture at Edge Hill University? (150 word limit)

Faculty Specific Questions:

πŸ‘‰ Faculty of Health, Social Care & Medicine (Question 4)

With many students undertaking demanding placements in healthcare settings, how would you campaign to ensure students are receiving appropriate support in terms of wellbeing and work-life balance, particularly during intense placement periods? (150 word limit)

πŸ‘‰ Faculty of Education (Question 4)

How would you work with the University to ensure Education students receive high-quality placement opportunities and better support while on placement? (150 word limit)

Students in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences study a wide range of disciplines, from the Creative Arts to STEM subjects.
