By Road
Via motorways: Leave M6 at junction 26 and join M58. Exit at junction 3, taking the A570 towards Southport and Ormskirk. You will see signs for ‘Edge Hill University’ when you leave the motorway. From junction 3 the journey is 2.8 miles and takes about 5 minutes.
The Campus can also be reached from Preston or Liverpool via the A59.
For sat nav you can use the postcode L39 4QP but please check that the route provided arrives at the front of Edge Hill University on St Helens Road. Alternatively enter lat/long co-ordinates 53.558622,-2.875178.
PARKING
PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING:
If you are coming along the A570 from the direction of the motorway towards Edge Hill University, there is a big new car park on the right with ample parking. Once parked, you will then need to walk towards the main University building. Please allow five minutes to do this.
Alternatively, continue driving along St Helens Road to the Visitor’s Entrance on the right. Stop at Campus Security on the left, where you will be advised of parking nearer to the Arts Centre. Please be aware that there is limited parking available in this area.
If you are coming along the A570 from the direction of Ormskirk, the Visitor’s Entrance is the first entrance on left, or continue further on St Helens Road to the big car park.
As you are an Arts Centre customer, you will not require a parking permit as stated on the signage.

By Rail
- From Ormskirk train station there is a regular service running to and from Preston and all stations to Liverpool.

- From Ormskirk train station you can get to the Campus in a variety of ways:
Bus: From Ormskirk train station take the pedestrian walkway to Ormskirk bus station and connect with the Edge Link bus for a direct route to campus. Please ensure you check the Edge Link schedule for bus times. Cost: Adult £1 single (£1.50 return) / Child 50p single (75p return).
Walk: Turn right from the station and walk up Station Approach. At the top, turn left, then first right. Walk up Stanley Street and Knowsley Road, across two junctions, to reach St Helens Road. Turn left and continue until you reach the Campus. Use the first main university entrance and the Arts Centre is on the left of the mini roundabout. The walk will only take 10 – 15 minutes: Map
Taxi: There is 24-hour taxi services close to the station.
By Bus
From Ormskirk Bus Station, turn left and then right at the traffic lights into Knowsley Road. Then follow the directions as by rail.
