We still have a while to wait until our BUCS Leagues and Cup Games pick up where they left off in 2017. So for now, we have a little round up of what to expect over the next coming weeks for you...

We'll start with two very exciting Cup Games we have coming up over the next couple of weeks. On the 17th of January, we have our Women's Rugby Union 2nd team travelling all the way to Durham to play against some very tough opposition. This is our first fixture of the New Year and we know our girls will absolutely smash it! Our second Cup Game involves our Men's Futsal 1st team travelling to Teesside to battle to get through to the next round. On the 28th of January, they are also facing tough opposition, but we know that after their amazing performances in previous rounds, that they'll try nothing less than their best. We want to wish both of our teams in the Cup, the best of luck for their fast-approaching fixtures! 

As well as Cup Games, we also have some exciting weekend fixtures coming up. Our American Football team are going to start taking up our Sundays in the near future (and we're completely fine with that). Their first game is on the 21st of January and they face Bradford at home. Then they have Aberystwyth on the 28th of January at home, so they'll be very busy bees that week! In addition to all of these Cup and weekend fixtures, on the 24th of January we have our first proper BUCS week starting again!!! Yes, you heard that right. I know, it's hard to contain your excitement. The good news for you is that I've got the official fixture line up all sorted, so let's get into it...

Our first home fixtures of the day include, our Men's Badminton 3rd team versus Liverpool Hope's 1st team at 1pm. This could prove to be a tough game for them, but considering the amazing improvements they've seen in training throughout the first semester, we have every faith in them. Our Men's Badminton 1st team are also on at 1pm against Liverpool John Moore's 1st team. Now this will be a fierce battle and definitely an exciting one to watch! Our Women's Hockey 2nd team are the last game on at 1pm on the day. They face Cumbria's 1st team and after their incredible performances throughout the first half of the season (and being at the number 1 spot in the league), I know they'll be feeling quietly confident going into this game and rightfully so. The next games of the day are starting at 2pm with our Men's Rugby League 1st team versus Liverpool John Moores 1st team. This should be a great game for Edge Hill, as they are currently on 18 points in the league, compared to Liverpool who are on 9. But as we all know far too well, you can never call a game. So this one is definitely one to (stand in the freezing cold) and watch. At 2.30pm, we have our Women's Hockey 1st team facing bottom of the league Bolton (yes, you'd be right in thinking the girls cannot wait for this game and are hoping to get a lot of players on the scoresheet). The two final fixtures of the day are on at 3pm and involve two more of our Badminton teams. Our Men's 4th team face Salford's 2nd team, which will prove to be another tough game. And finally, our Women's 1st team are against Sheffield's 1st team and this will definitely be a fun game for our girls as they sit comfortably at the top of the league. We don't just have home games on the 24th... we're treating you to two away games as well! Both of them are our Rugby Union teams. Our Men's 1st and Women's 2nd teams are both facing Liverpool John Moores, in what promise to be fantastic games!
