Since 17 February, our Elections season for 2025 has been in full swing. With one candidate for the Faculty of Education, one for the Faculty of Health, Social Care & Medicine, and four for the Faculty of Arts & Sciences, we’ve seen the most in-person campaigning at Edge Hill that we’ve had since before Covid; and it paid off, because we’ve had the most voters since pre covid too!
During the voting process, we reached over 1,100 students voting, a huge thank you to everyone who took part, and to those who joined us for the tombola in the SU building – we hope you enjoy your prizes! If you weren’t on campus, keep your eye out for an email, because one voter from each faculty will be winning a hamper with a selection of the prizes we had to give away. Before we move on to our 25/26 President team, a big thank you once again to the local businesses that donated prizes:
But onto the incoming president team, and it’s a year of firsts, because with voting closing at 1pm today, we’ve also held our first in person elections results night since pre-covid too. So, the party is done, and the results have been announced in person, so it’s time to announce your newly elected Faculty Presidents for the 2025/2026 academic year here too.
These passionate individuals are committed to enhancing the student experience and advocating for the key issues that matter most to Edge Hill University students, we can’t wait to see what they achieve during their time in post.
Until then, keep an eye out for their official introductions when they start their positions in July!
